The QuickStart Designer/Implementer will be able to configure Maximo/ServiceNow using standard tooling in support of fulfilling requirements for the implementation of a global standard Incident, Problem and Change enterprise.The Designer/Implementer will also be expected to help team members grow their technical skills through formal and informal knowledge transfer efforts.Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for evaluating, testing, and implementing any changes to Maximo and ServiceNow tools

  • Staying current on upcoming features/upgrades/trends and evaluate and implement them as appropriate to keep the system current and optimized

  • Evaluate and implement necessary add-on components

  • Develop, endorse, and enforce guidelines and standards for product usage and solution development

Required professional and technical expertise:

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related field

  • Effective technical communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Jython, Javascript, SQL, XML, UNIX scripts, Windows shell, AIX/Unix commands, ITIL framework knowledge (foundation level)

    Preferred professional and technical expertise:

  • Experience with Maximo (also known as TSRM/SCCD/ISM/ICD)

  • Experience with ServiceNow platform

  • Experience maintaining any enterprise-level system

  • Perform regular maintenance and monitoring activities on the system - automate routine tasks wherever appropriate

  • Knowledge of Maximo Escalations, Cron Tasks, Fixpack identification and deployment, Migration Manager

  • Experience in tools automation

  • Experience on projects using Agile practices and Rational Tool Suite

  • Ability to work in a agile-oriented environment. Experience working on projects with resources across multiple time zones

  • Ability to multitask and work on parallel assignments

  • Creative outside-the-box thinking

  • Willingness to document all work completed
