IBM BI and Predictive Analytics Technical Specialist-Federal in WASHINGTON, District Of Columbia

The BI and Predictive Analytics Technical Specialist will be an integral member of the Federal Analytics organization with our BI and Predictive Analytics team. Members of this team will be helping clients that address our country's most pressing challenges. This position offers the ability to work collaboratively with an extremely talented technical team, access to IBM product developers, and opportunities for career growth. The BI and Predictive Analytics Technical Specialist will work with both the Federal Analytics Technical Sales and the Federal Analytics Portfolio Sales teams to help solidify sales opportunities. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support technical presales activities requiring advanced skills in the area of Business Intelligence and Predictive Analytics

  • Support Proofs of Concept (POCs), and other situations requiring local resource assistance.

  • Provide RFP/RFI/RFQ support

  • Maintain enterprise architecture diagrams as they relate to primary product responsibilities and other software brands within IBM Analytics

  • Assist IBM Technical Support in resolving deep dive customer technical issues

  • Assist customers with IBM Cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) deployments

  • Seek out assistance for hardware sizing and scalability requirements for software proposals

  • Provide demonstrations and presentations of the IBM Cognos, Watson Analytics and SPSS software as required.

    Required Skills, Languages, Certification, Education, Travel, and Clearances:

  • Four year Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or related technical field or equivalent practical experience

  • Up to 50% travel

  • US Citizenship

    Preferred Skills, Languages, Certification, Education, Travel, and Clearances:

  • Experience with IBM Cognos Business Intelligence and/or IBM Cognos Analytics

  • Experience with the IBM SPSS product line, including SPSS Modeler, Statistics, Analytics Server and Modeler Server

  • Experience in software technical sales

  • Experience in delivering professional demonstrations or presentations

  • Experience in OLAP database / data modeling skills

  • Experience in relational database technology

  • Experience or familiarity with the use of statistical algorithms

  • Experience in a Federal agency or a company that primarily markets to the Federal government

  • At least 1 years experience working with multiple operating systems such as Windows, Unix/Linux, AIX

  • Experience in working with the SQL language

  • Top Secret Clearance with Counter Intelligence Agencies

  • Secret Clearance with DoD

  • Four year Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics or related technical field or equivalent practical experience

  • Up to 50% travel
