Our team is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Application Developer with skills in Ab Initio ETL, who can implement SSIS packages and SQLs running on Netezza. Candidates will use in-depth consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the clients’ business environments to achieve client expected business results. Candidates may serve as team members or team leads and can work independently on client sites. We are looking for consultants that can build credibility and trust. Job Description: You will manage and maintain interfaces built with Ab Initio software between operational & external environments to the business intelligence environment. Your skills include designing and developing extract, transforming and loading (ETL) processes. Your experience demonstrates application support of a business intelligence solution.Responsibilities:

  • Requirement analysis, estimation, scoping, Design, Review, performance tuning, Bug fixes if required;

  • Highlighting and tracking issues and risks in a timely fashion;

  • Coordination with offshore team;

  • Code, test, modify, debug, document, and implement Ab Initio Graphs utilizing the GDE environment and EME;

  • Code, test, modify, debug, document, and implement SSIS packages and SQLs running on Netezza, utilizing SQL Server and Visual Studio;

  • Develop scripts to automate the execution of Ab Initio graphs using shell scripts under UNIX environment;

  • Develop technical specification documents;

  • Help develop test cases and plans to complete the unit testing and support System testing;

  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, unit testing and integration testing;

  • Help develop code migration strategies from one environment to the other;

  • Manage expectations of business and communicates progress;

  • Document and maintain reporting processes, code, requirements and maintain compliance and governance procedures;

  • Fulfill audit and data provision requirements to support various programs;

  • Analysis and design of business requirements;

  • Review the applicability of developed functionality and organize user acceptance tests;

  • Provide problem solving capabilities to the team helping with the analysis & resolution of defects;

  • Scope deliverables and manage scope changes along with the business partners;

  • Prioritize requirements in conjunction with business priorities;

  • Support deployment.

  • Experience with:

  • Ab-Initio in distributed systems dev't & SSIS programming;

  • working in a project-based environment, multi-tier technologies & working within SQL Server & Oracle SQL;

  • Strong shell scripting skills, with experience encapsulating Ab Initio code for execution via automated schedulers;

  • Working knowledge of relational database management systems and experience writing SQLs in Netezza & DB2;

  • Sound knowledge of:

  • common data warehousing best practices & common data warehouse models including the use of enterprise reporting tools;

  • user requirements analysis & application;

  • Knowledge of PL/SQL running against a data warehousing environment;

  • Strong understanding of SDLC best practices with an emphasis on DW/BI practices;

  • Working knowledge of common code construction & code management practices;

  • Good interpersonal & communication skills & a strong team player;

  • Good understanding of application development methodologies.
