As Software Product Specialist, this role is responsible for solving the issues arise in daily operational work of the operation team related particular software product of the role specialty license terms and conditions, included but not limited to determining license attributes of software to govern Software Knowledge Base used by scanning tools, advising license terms and conditions to operational team, performing any vendor reporting and software compliance measurement.
Solving issues regarding to licensing status of Software products in the Software Knowledge Base Toolkit (SWKBT) on daily request basis and ensure correction of wrong records.
Answering questions related to software licenses registration to the Software Contract Manager tools and their reconciliation in the Trails tool on daily requests basis.
Continuous informing about licensing status changes in the SWKBT based on Change Review Board (CRB) weekly meeting and Continuous updating new information on licensing and share to all team members
Participation on weekly Change Review Board (CRB) meeting, checking CRB report related to SW changes and present all changes, approved by at least 2 Product Specialist prior implementation to SWKBT
Provide Advise to solution team from perspective of software licensing to arrive at cost optimum software licensing while still in compliance of Software vendor terms and conditions.
Work with multiple, cross competency members within IBM to solve issues related to Software licensing, Provide Subject Matter Expert advice on Software Product Licensing.
Perform, administer, manage software vendor reporting as necessary where compliance are required through report submission to the software vendor.
Above 3 year related working experience.
CET6 with good oral/written English
Software Asset Tracking & License Management experience
Experience in corporate / supply chain business systems; eg. SW license / contract management, Procurement, fulfilment, Order management
Ability to identify and extract entitlement data elements (PO/invoice number, license type, etc.) from source systems.
Good understating of industry standard software vendors particularly software Terms and Conditions of License and User Rights
Software Audit and compliance measurement skill.
