This is a proactive, agile marketing position involving both the strategy development and execution of marketing programs for Weather Underground. This role will be responsible for managing marketing tactics across all platforms (search, social, email, paid media, sponsorships, etc.)Weather Underground, part of the Weather Company, an IBM Business, is a scrappy challenger brand with immense growth potential. As such, the candidate should be both creative and innovative in their marketing approach, be able to work well in a cooperative and collaborative environment, and be able to pivot marketing strategies to reflect constantly evolving technology, industry changes, and shifts in consumer behavior. They should be a self-starter eager to join a small tight-knit team.The candidate should be an active participant in tech, media, and marketing sectors. They will be expected to have a clear understanding of marketing as a discipline, the ability to develop and articulate a clear strategy, and the drive to execute flawlessly. Strong communication skills are required, as the candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams internally and externally. In addition to marketing strategy and execution, the responsibilities of this role may include, but are not limited to: keyword selection, conducting customer research, writing ad copy, providing creative direction and reviews, app store optimization, and ecommerce.
