The SRM will carry out online searches for skilled candidates as well as networking and communicating via email, phone, and text with candidates and managers to determine best-fit project assignments.
The SRM is responsible for staffing resources on projects.
The role can be divided into supply and demand functions.
The ''supply'' function staffs available practitioners onto projects and the ''demand'' function staffs available projects with practitioners.
The SRM should have good negotiation skills, and understand both the project requirements and the practitioner skills.
In your daily business the SRM uses different tools to accomplish the staffing goals.
This job requires the SRM to aggressively seek & find the right professional, to negotiate through and manage staffing escalations for the projects supported, and to initiate subcontracting or solutions when needed to ensure staffing requests are fulfilled end to end;, that is from start to finish in a timely and cost effective manner.
The SRM must carefully track each candidate's status and assign professionals in IBM systems. This includes working on multiple staffing requests simultaneously so must be detail oriented and organized to keep on track of system/tool updates accurately and timely.
Preferred but not required skills:
Experience sourcing and/or deploying professional staff, preferably IT staff.
Tenacity & experience sourcing and driving to fulfillment difficult-to-fill open positions.
Ability to effectively and simultaneously handle sourcing / placement of multiple candidates across multiple roles & projects with sense of urgency.
Averages 1-2 years experience in Resource & Capacity Management or equivalent external experience (i.e., other IT company or technical/functional recruiting)
Experience with PMP and the current resource management processes.
Knowledge and experience in the Contractor on-boarding process
Engaging resources from Global Delivery Centers.
Experience on managing resource releases and rotations
Experience on supervising/managing people preferred.
