  • In this exciting role you will be responsible for DB2 Database Administration in the installation, configuration and validation of the DB environment to support the IBM solution module.

  • You will manage the installation, configuration and maintenance, including applying necessary feature packs and hot fixes for the DB2 platform.

  • Working with product installation specialists during the initial installation in the target environments.

  • Responsible for documenting the configuration as necessary to support IBM solution components for the environments network.

  • You will also coordinate with the Infrastructure team to guide them through the application installation stages requiring special configurations for optimal DB2 performance.

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance of Secret.


  • 4 years of experience as a DB2 DBA in a 24 x 7 production environment.

  • 4 years of experience developing and maintaining database backup and recovery systems.

  • 4 years of experience Installing, configuring, upgrading, maintaining, supporting and tuning DB2 databases.

  • 4 years of experience running and maintaining DB2 instances on Linux/AIX platforms.

  • 4 years of experience troubleshooting and Problem Solving in DB2.

  • 4 years of experience performance tuning DB2 databases.

  • 4 years of experience supporting Disaster Recovery operations.

  • 4 years of experience overseeing and coordinating support for the operations and maintenance of DB2 on virtualized Unix-based environments including strong SQL skills and stored procedures
