Typical examples of the deliverables are functional and non-functional requirements, use and test cases, process models and documentation and end user documentation and training. Additional responsibilities are to troubleshoot end user generated help desk requests and when necessary to create defect requirements or document action items to initiate corrective action. GBS Federal utilizes a group of applications known as IMAPS. These applications include Deltek’s Costpoint Cost accounting system, Cognos used for project management and measurement reporting as well as a host of other web and Lotus Notes based applications and interfaces that allow these to interact with each other and IBM systems as well as the compliance needs of GBS Federal.   • I/T experience in areas of requirements gathering, functional analysis and / or architecture related to financial accounting systems. (3 years, in requirements and testing of financial systems).

  • Knowledge of the IBM accounting process and specifically USA ledger, with experience in financial and measurements. (3 years, either in accounting, as an FA or on a ledger support role)

  • Excellent communication skills to engage finance customers and developers and writing skills to document requirements and other end user documentation.

  • Familiarity with information warehouses and data mining / analysis including knowledge of SQL query writing skills.

  • Familiarity with application development and maintenance standards.

  • Familiarity with application related standards, especially in areas of controls. (user access, data protection, etc.)
