IBM Power Systems Enablement has openings for software engineer co-ops or interns. The Power Systems Enablement team produces firmware that runs on system spanning enterprise level servers down to blade and desktop servers. This firmware is integral to the Open Power Foundation and is used as a building block by IBM, Google, Samsung, Tyan, Mellanox, and many other high tech companies. We develop the infrastructure for cloud, big data and analytics by developing leading-edge technologies in hardware enablement, virtualization, kernel development, parallel computing, storage development/management, and networking for IBM Power systems. Software engineering tasks may include: code design/writing/porting in test automation, testing/debugging, and support. Candidates should have team-based software development experience with C/C++, or scripting languages on various platforms, and good communication skills. Positions are available in Rochester, MN and Austin, TX.
