Job DescriptionTechnical professional who participates in design, test, development, and/or support of IBM’s Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) SAP applications. Provides technical input for the creation or modification of product components. Decisions affect success of the project or significant portions of larger projects and have impact on financial performance, image, schedules and customer satisfaction. This individual is the first level with significant independent decision responsibility and accountability, and may have leadership responsibilities.Participates in translation of the client's business requirements into specific system, application or process designs. This includes working as a team member with client personnel to identify functional requirements and subsequently working with or in some instances leading others in the identification, justification and design of the client's solution. Participates in a wide range of design activities, from requirements analysis through systems, application and/or process design specification. Involved in implementation of such projects with emphasis in SAP’s Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) area’s (procurement, inventory/ materials management, replenishment, production execution, warehouse management, order management, shipping, billing, pricing and customer data handling)
Scope of work encompasses multiple components, or a complex component, of a software product or solution.
Defines, recommends, and implements software alternatives and solutions which will achieve a high level of efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Leads professional teams and significant project planning activities, ensuring that development is completed in a timely and cost effective manner.
Thoroughly understands and effectively executes existing software development processes and procedures and develops new approaches as appropriate.
Applies knowledge of information technology and associated methods and tools of the IT Architect profession to attain project / business unit objectives. Demonstrates the required proficiency levels for technical skills.
Advises other professionals (Project Managers, IT Architects and IT Specialists in team on tools, technology and methodology related to the design and development of IT solutions, and participates in evaluation and selection. May be asked to research special topics as part of team responsibilities.
Works effectively with other team members to understand customer needs and to design, evaluate and develop IT solutions which meet those needs. Guides and influences team members, including customer, vendor and subcontractor personnel, and IBMers to accomplish the team's technical and schedule goals.
Negotiates effectively with team members (vendors, subcontractors, customers and IBMers) to identify each member's role in solution design and development, agree on specific problem-solving, requirements analysis and design tasks and associated work products, and to define approaches for producing them

Defines and determines solution design objectives related to the project. May lead and guide the efforts of others in these areas.
Understands department / function mission and applies this understanding in project activities.
Influences customers, vendors, subcontractors and IBMers inside and outside project with presentations on project-related topics. Influence extends to both management and non-management personnel.
Provides technical guidance to implementation team members throughout the project lifecycle. May lead implementation in a small project or be responsible for subsystem implementation in a large project.
Collaborates with the Consultant and/or Market Segment Manager in defining the customer's business and integration requirements/strategy.
Accountable for products of teams led / department managed in terms of quality, timeliness and compliance with customer needs.
Regularly participates in overall functional planning. Identifies, estimates and presents cost, schedule, technical risk for solution elements, both in marketing and proposal efforts and in implementation planning.
Works directly with customers. Activities affect customer satisfaction.
Activities lead to cost effective solutions which positively affect project costs or expenses.
This person will collaborate with teams in Research Triangle Park, NC and work on site.
At least 5 years’ experience in the development and maintenance of SAP systems
At least 3 years’ experience with ABAP Development and Performance Analysis Experience
Experience with SAP’s Supply Chain Management (SCM) Modules and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Modules
Experience and expertise in architecting, designing, developing and deploying large application platforms
Exposure to manufacturing and distribution business processes
A proven track record of successfully implementing software or web development projects using Agile methodologies
