IBM Enterprise Services Strategy & Work Transition Manager in RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, North Carolina

In this position, the candidate will have responsibility to manage the integration of a number of organizations and functions within Transformation & Operations and the IBM Business Units to support the developing scope of Enterprise Services (ES). The ES Strategy & Work Transition Manager is responsible for the development of the Sales Transaction Support (STS) Center Strategy and to drive the mechanics for transitioning multiple roles in and out of ES. This includes, but is not limited to putting plans and resources in place to execute all strategic moves while minimizing risk to the business.The individual in this role must be a cross functional leader and have an established network with the units supported by Enterprise Services and have capability to expand these relationships as new offerings are developed in the IBM business. The ES Strategy & Work Transition Manager must also be able to lead, influence, and direct a highly matrixed organization to ensure operational excellence. The candidate must be equipped with deep understanding of IBM business and strategy, as well as the Transformation and Operations strategy and priorities.The candidate should have knowledge of the end to end processes supported by the Sales Transaction Support organization as well as operational quote to cash experience. In addition, the candidate should have knowledge of STS systems. The candidate must have strong financial acumen and understand how finances works across the Enterprise. It is expected that the candidate is able to position the newly integrated roles into the ES organization and do so in line with the IBM Transformational Journey. The individual must be able to think broadly and horizontally across IBM. He / She will also be responsible for activities in the area of HR / personnel with focus on mentoring, educating, and employee development to retain and grow top talent globally across Enterprise Service. Utilization of innovative and collaborative tools are required to build organization capability within the team.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and updating the STS Global Center Strategy for 8K+ employees

  • Responsible to lead Project Management Office with end-to-end execution of strategic work transition, including ES internal, Unit-in and Q2C Unit Indirect

  • Must attract, develop, retain, and leverage personnel across all of STS centers, including Global IBMer program

  • Responsible for success of overall strategy program and organization

  • Help develop and maintain the STS Q2C Service Catalogue and drive the Q2C Operating Models

  • Manage the IBM Partnerships and Alliances within STS, preventing business disruption

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • At least seven years’ experience in leading individuals and teams

  • At least seven years’ experience in end to end supply chain

  • At least five years’ experience in applied business process creation and improvement

  • At least five years’ experience in applied high-level interpersonal communication skills

  • At least three years’ experience in new offering development

  • At least three years’ experience in strategy roles

  • At least one year experience in Agile for Operations

  • English language fluency
