In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and supporting the networking and security scanning aspects of GxP compliant cloud environments for both internal and external customers. You will work with Watson Health Delivery and Development teams in understanding the technical requirements of initial designs and enhancements and implement them according to developed plans. They should ensure compliance criteria are met for the environments through following appropriate SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and/or developing appropriate documentation as needed. You will also provide technical and career mentoring to junior level staff performing related tasks. Some of your anticipated responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the LSC, SoftLayer, and/or customer technical teams to resolve network issues

  • Responsible for the network and security portions of GxP documentation

  • Identifying potential network functional and/or enhancements and implementing them under GxP guidelines

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Advanced Linux administration, focus on RedHat, KVM virtualization, bash scripting, bonding, bridging, Open vSwitch

  • Strong firewall knowledge, focus on Vyatta (or Juniper), Iptables, IPsec, Site2Site, Mobile (e.g. Open VPN) implementation

  • Demonstrated Knowledge of OpenStack network / Neutron - Icehouse version

  • Familiar with the automation tools, focus on Chef

  • Proven knowledge of the networking protocols and tools

  • Familiarity with installing, configuring, and running security and vulnerability scanning software
