IBM Technical Software Sales Manager zSystems - Public Market in Raleigh, North Carolina

IBM is currently hiring a zSystems Technical Software Sales Manager for the Public Market. This role is responsible for leading the IBM Technical Sales team in the Public Market segment. This includes Health Care, as well as State and Local governments. Lead the team across the United States providing technical solutions to these clients in the solution areas of Analytics, Hybrid Cloud management, end to end Security, and Application modernization. In this role you will help clients integrate new technologies such as Blockchain, Spark and Cloud with their core mainframe systems for competitive advantage.The technical team is required to be on the leading edge of technology and is responsible for leading the way as it relates to emerging technologies and growth initiatives. This role provides technical sales leadership for IBM's largest software accounts. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver effective Proof of Concept (POC), Proof of Technology (POT), Demonstration, and Client Workshops that close and deliver committed revenue

  • Design and support a vibrant business partner ecosystem that can sell & deploy and adopt IBM solutions

  • Lead Client Deployment and Adoption to drive client success and secure future software sales

  • Ensure appropriate deploy and adoption plans are included with complex solution sales

  • Act as the liaison between Software Sales and Lab Services to ensure adoption and client health objectives are achieved

  • Create and promote a Technical Sales culture focused on Solution Selling that results in client success

  • Lead new emerging technology and growth play initiatives for IBM Software Sales

  • Promote and deliver sales across existing and new delivery models, including Cognitive, SaaS, Appliances, and Cloud-based solutions

  • Build a technical team that takes pride in their technical acumen and consistently delivers new Opportunity Identification to the business

  • Create a culture of continuous learning that promotes IBM’s technology leadership position

• At least 5 years’ experience in Technical Software Sales with Enterprise, Cloud or Cognitive Technical Software Sales• At least 5 years’ experience of Technical Software Sales within a Market; (Communications, Public, Financial, Distribution, Industrial, or Federal)• At least 5 years’ experience in a Technical Sales Management or leadership role• At least 2 years’ experience with IT Architecture and/or System Integration
