Job SummaryWorking under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for managing the successful execution of Watson Health Imaging (WHI) Center of Excellence (COE) projects from initiation, planning and execution, through closeout and transition to Development for commercialization of the output of the project. The COEPM will own the project and act as the point of contact for the project during the life cycle of the project. The COEPM will be responsible for coordinating resources and ensuring that both external and internal customer needs are satisfied with a successful completion of project deliverables. Essential Job Duties
Leadership - Ability to engage a cross-functional team in a matrix environment, keep them energized, focused and motivated to accomplish the project in addition to their day to day activities.
Interpersonal skills – strong presentation, written and verbal skills. Ability to describe complex technical subjects in a manner that translates to clinical staff. Experience in communicating business impact to executives within the customers org and internally org (”C” Suite). Understand when to be concise and when to elaborate depending upon the audience.
Customer management skills – Ability to navigate complex organizational structures. Recognize the decision makers from the influencers. Able to recognize the key supporters from the key detractors and work their interpersonal approach appropriately. Balancing customer advocacy with business needs.
Salesmanship and Influence skills - Ability to sell customer on a concept or solution what balances those needs when the customer might believe otherwise. Ability to tell a customer when an ‘ask’ is out of scope while taking a “Yes and here’s how” rather than a “No and here is why not” approach.
Business generation – ability to recognize the opportunity for add on product or services sales. Ability to position our capabilities in a way that generates interest with the customer and sets up the follow on sales steps.
Partner Management – ability to work with 3rd party vendors that balances responsibility within the account and accomplish the project objectives.
Problem solving – Ability to breakdown problems into component steps, frame solution options, clearly articulate the tradeoffs in a concise manner, champion a recommendation, organize and lead a team to resolution.
Follow up and follow through – treat customer interactions with urgency, set deadlines, deliver on commitments.
Work with the sales team to understand customer’s specific needs and objectives
Participate in transition to development activities as needed
Manage knowledge transfer from the Project Team to Offering Management, Research and Development teams
Provide documented project status to Director of Center of Excellence
Work directly with all departments within WHI as the customer and project advocate ensuring a clinical focus is brought to the COE project and transition to Development for commercialization
Work with management to develop and evolve processes/practices within the Research and Development Teams
Provide mentoring/training for other team members
Pursues a program of self-development through the use of selected reading, seminars, and participation in continuing education.
Identifies and communicates possible improvements in the work process for customers and peers.
Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.
NOTE: This position can be entirely remote. We also have offices in Cambridge, MA and San Jose, CA that we're building teams for Watson Health Imaging.OfMgmtMERGE
Healthcare IT experience – clinical, Health IT and/or EMR
5+ years healthcare IT deployments in hospital market.
Strong organizational and written/verbal communications skills required
Ability to effectively plan and facilitate multi-disciplinary meetings and workgroups
Ability to present solutions to the Customer and “sell” WHI and our technical and clinical expertise.
Exhibits a solid professional presence.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Is a self-motivated, results oriented individual
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and Microsoft Project.
Strong understanding of business project management,process improvement, and change management principles, approaches and methodologies ' especially for clinically-related projects.
