The role will also be responsible for identifying, qualifying and assisting in the closing sales opportunities across various Industries in North America. Specifically, this candidate will support IBM's offerings that include, but are not limited to data quality, data integration, data analyses, data lifecycle management and information governance.IBM solutions are a combination of services, software, hardware and third party vendor products that address a set of capabilities and value that our clients are seeking. This professional must have broad experience in various Industries, an ability to articulate industry trends and issues as well as broad conversational expertise in key areas, such as data governance and maturity models, data lifecycle management and data architecture. In addition to broad knowledge and expertise in the industry, the candidate must have deep expertise or subject matter expertise in one or more operational areas listed above. The preferred candidate must have demonstrated in previous roles: strong leadership acumen, an ability to operate in positions requiring significant self direction and motivation and a proven track record in data and analytics consultative selling solutions to senior business and IT leaders and executives in the various industries. The preferred candidate must also be able to manage multiple priorities and be capable of developing strong relationships at assigned accounts and must be able to:
Establish and maintain deal focused trusted relationships with clients and partners to scope, solution, propose, close and deliver complex projects.
Articulate client business value with consultative and provocative selling approaches.
Understand the delivery implications of consulting opportunities and sell solutions that IBM can deliver.
Identify, validate, and qualify opportunities and help close them on an as needed basis. Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and progress them during the quarter.
Work in a highly ambiguous, dynamic environment with a proven ability to balance competing demands and priorities as well as operate independently while building a successful sales pipeline/channel.
Team with IBM colleagues and vendors to develop creative and innovative solutions.
Develop strong relationships with client-facing IBM teams and understand the IBM organizational structure and go-to-market approaches.
Promote cross brand solutions to promote the overall IBM portfolio requiring an understanding of IBM offerings, in particular IBM software and hardware. Select cross brand solutions include: E&U Industry Solutions, Smarter Planet, Smarter Commerce, Business Analytics and Optimization, Cloud.
Understand key partner and competitor offerings which overlap the IBM solution space.
This position requires travel 4-5 days per week.
At least 5 years of experience with at least one of the major Data Management Solutions for SAP Data Migration (IBM InfoSphere Information Server, SAP Business Objects Data Services, Informatica ETL and Data Quality Suite, Back Office Associates Data migration Suite).
At least 5 years of experience with SAP ERP implementations.
Strong consulting skills paired with strong technical skills, to convey the value of a Master Data Management (MDM) solution to the client (pros/cons, challenges, requirements needed, etc).
Strong understanding with data quality, data profiling and metadata management.
Strong understanding of data structure classifications, and workflow and processes.
At least 3 years of experience in professional services consulting, and sales at a national, or global management consulting firm.
Awareness on the use of predictive analytics to solve the challenges of harnessing value from Big Data.
