IBM researchers develop differentiating, leading-edge technology in a 300mm semiconductor fabrication facility with over 100k sq ft of clean room space in Albany NY. This technology is commercialized through development and manufacturing partnerships.Description:IBM is hiring for the position of Hardware Engineer in semiconductor research to develop the next generation of logic and memory devices by engaging in research on state-of-the-art semiconductor technology, including complex process integration, advanced process modeling, novel device design and optimization, lithography and patterning challenges, development of new materials to improve device performance, and physical and electrical characterization of materials and devices.We seek candidates with strong publication records in any aspect of semiconductor materials and devices, who have strong verbal and presentation skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Candidates are expected to create new knowledge and practical advances which can be used to improve performance, yield, or reliability of microelectronics, and to disseminate this knowledge by publications and patents.These positions will be primarily in Albany NY; a few openings may be located in Yorktown Heights NY.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of semiconductor device physics, fabrication processes or characterization techniques.
