Application Innovation Consulting (AIC) is part of the worldwide IBM Global Business Services (GBS) organization and is responsible for selling application development and management services to clients. AIC includes application development and maintenance for packages and custom built applications, transformation and outsourcing of software development organizations using highly productive processes. Typically these services are delivered with a high content of Global Resourcing.IBM AIC is looking for an Associate Partner to engage with IBM industry account managers and their customers to bring IBM solutions and services that address the challenges in the Insurance industry.Responsibilities include:- Contribute to shaping IBM’s thought leadership and Point of View (POV) related to emerging Insurance industry solutions and the business model and operational implications for IBM’s clients;- Support the development of IBM consulting solutions that align IBM’s horizontal capabilities (Consulting, Software, Hardware and Research) to address specific client needs with a demonstrable business impact;- Support the sales and marketing process with IBM Client Teams to establish clearly differentiated positioning of IBM’s solutions based on varying client needs and expand the base of business;- Manage delivery of effective consulting engagements which achieve desired outcome of client while meeting budget and time commitments;- Participate in consulting engagements through the following roles: Subject Matter Expert; Quality Assurance Lead overseeing the performance of consulting work; and, where appropriate, Project Manager of consulting engagements.In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact directly with clients. As such, travel to client sites is required, up to 3 days per week. • At least 4 years of experience in selling and delivering application development, consulting or managed services in the Insurance industry• At least 4 years of experience in proposal writing and presentation material development• At least 4 years of experience in deal negotiation & consultative selling• At least 4 years of experience in providing technical leadership, evaluating design and development approaches, identifying and suggesting viable design options• At least 4 years of experience in acting as a technical leader and subject matter expert, including mentoring, employing technical expertise in driving decisions, and leading a team in solving challenging programming and technology design problems
