The role is primarily a Mobility Consultant role for Asia Pacific talent movement as employees relocate across the globe. The Mobility Consultant serves as the single focal and subject matter expert responsible for administering IBM's Mobility and relocation policies and processes. It involves the administration of the assignment process, facilitating movement by engaging with different stakeholders such as the assignees' Managers, Payroll, Recruitment, Offboarding/Onboarding teams, and various vendors.This is heavily a front office role, and entails daily discussions with assignees and stakeholders through email, Sametime, and phone. The role provides good exposure to the different towers and teams within IBM globally.The other part of the employee's role is vendor management work including the processing of Mobility allowances, payments, and invoices for assignees out of Japan. This requires adequate skills of the Japanese language (both written and spoken) as the role requires inputting of details in tools and systems used by IBM Japan, as well as discussions with different teams within IBM Japan and Japan vendors.
