IBM Sourcing Manager in PETALING JAYA, Malaysia

IBM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with comprehensive commercial strategic sourcing and client facing or consulting experience to join our team of procurement professionals. Specifically, we are seeking to fill the role of Sourcing Manager. The Sourcing Manager is the primary sourcing interface for our client and manages the delivery of the procurement services across multiple categories and stakeholders. In addition, the Sourcing Manager manages the Sourcing team and coordinates procurement related master data management activities that are performed remotely.In addition to having excellent client-facing skills, the ideal candidate will have a minimum ten (10) years strategic sourcing experience for internal and external clients. This is a full time position to be based in the client office in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan.A core requirement for the position is specific commodity/category strategic sourcing experience and working knowledge in at least three of the following categories areas: Oil and Gas downstream category knowledge; Professional Services; HR Services; Contracted Labor; Facilities Operations; Design and Construction Services; Capital Equipment; MRO and Office Supplies; Telecommunications and Networking Equipment; Marketing Communications; IT Hardware, Software, and Services; Travel Services; Logistics; and Utilities and Energy. Working experience with SAP tool for end to end purchase requisition to purchase order issuance and data extraction to prepare updates and status reports. Sourcing Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Pre-Contract

  • Responsible for the overall sourcing Due Diligence activities

  • Responsible for working with Sales on development a specific client strategic sourcing and category management solution

  • Responsible for the final sourcing and category management solution for each client

  • Responsible for the completion of all pre-contract sourcing solution activities

  • Document risks and gaps for each client solution as well as action plans to close each

    Contract Delivery

  • Responsible for all post-contract sourcing delivery success, including procurement operations

  • Primary interface with the client on the realization of their strategic sourcing objectives through implementation of transformational sourcing

  • Responsible for staffing and managing appropriately skilled resources for the client account

  • Manage client stakeholder identification, buy-in, and escalations

  • Ensure addressable spend is available and aligned with contract or renegotiate commitment

  • Establish and manage client dependencies to ensure optimal delivery results

  • Drive client approvals at each stage of the project sourcing process

  • Drive compliance management activities to support client compliance

  • Identify, own, deliver, and report on all contractually obligated sourcing service levels

  • Ensure client satisfaction with the sourcing services

  • Execute and manage vendor contracts to ensure SLA are met and develop strategy on these contracts renewal

    End-to-End Service Delivery

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Procurement Operations

  • Maintain performance standards, service quality and measurements for all delivery workstreams
