* Must be able to be located in one of the following locations: New York, Austin, TX or Raleigh, NC * The IBM Watson Customer Engagement Content and Design team Manager reports to the Editor in Chief of WCE and is a leadership role - responsible for the management of a team of content strategists and designers who strategize and create consistent content experiences. The ideal candidate would manage the content and design teams to develop and implement relevant content for all the disciplines within the Watson CE brand, and liaise with all of the internal teams to enable the process for our content leads. It is a logictics-heavy and program management role, overseeing budgets, editorial calendars, due dates, and workflow processes. They will manage the day to day needs of the content & design team which is responsible for creating IBM-recognizable content across every channel, seamlessly flowing to the next communication stage. The team oversees the creation of video, social content, infographics, blog posts, white papers, eBooks, emails, nurture campaigns, web banners, motion graphics, webinar drive to, and event support (content perspective). In addition to having a strong understanding of content strategy, development and core design, this candidate should have strong management skills - both people management and agency management skills - and be incredibly proactive within a large organization. He or she must have proven communications skills, cross-team experience and the ability to make important business decisions that he/she can stand by (what's best for the business). Additionally, from a design perspective, must be able to share creative ideas and experiences which unify, simplify and amplify key objectives, speak effectively to the target audience and are within budgetary and production requirements. This candidate must be able to strategize on core content vehicles based on marketing and customer initiatives and then help the team to execute those content ideas in a timely manner using both in-house design resources (on the team) and external agencies. A background in writing, education, and cross-team communication skills are all plus.
