You must be self-motivated, ready to interact daily with a variety of other smart and highly motivated people, and work in a changing environment where no two days are ever the same. Our Sales Specialists are focused on driving key growth solutions across Linux on Power Systems, including High Performance Computing, services such as SaaS, with an in-depth knowledge of one or more of the following markets: Federal, State and local government, higher education/research to generate demand in new accounts or expand IBM’s reach in existing accounts with new offerings such as Cross-IBM solutions that enable new business processes and models driven by digital disruptionYou'll also be responsible for navigating IBM to identify and acquire critical resources needed to develop the best solution for the client, while applying IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods and models, to ensure world-class design and delivery. If you are a team player; understanding that “we never win alone”; with the ability to manage a team effort to delight our clients, a clear understanding and ability to probe, discuss, and identify end-user “pain points”; ability to clearly communicate the client needs to greater IBM HPC team and assist in solution formulation, let's talk.Location: Candidates can be located anywhere in the United States.

  • At least 5 years experience in Linux Server Solution Sales (including High Performance Computing, Big Data & Analytics, Hyperscale, etc.)

  • At least 5 years experience in prospecting techniques

  • At least 5 years experience in mapping complex technologies and services capabilities to drive transformational client outcomes

  • At least 5 years experience in Integrated HPC/data analytics solutions including hardware (servers, storage, fabric/networking, accelerators, et al) and ecosystem/middleware; apps where applicable.

  • Readiness to travel 50% travel annually

  • English: Fluent
