IBM Data Integration, Governance and MDM Subject Matter Expert in New York, New York

You will bring industry and domain insight and use this to provide clients with compelling reasons to act based on outcomes and value delivered. Information Integration and Governance(IIG) is the foundation for trusted analytics. The team has a key role in driving transformational programs with our clients enabled by our new differentiated solutions, typically cloud based, hybrid or on-premise. You will win by commanding client attention with your tech savvy, solution knowledge and ability to leverage industry trends around MDM, data integration, data governance as well as cloud and open source. The team you will be working with has a North America region responsibility for IIG sales. You will lead and support sales engagements bringing deep industry expertise to the team. The IIG SME role is a pure sales role so you must have worked in Software and/or Consultancy selling roles previously or in senior technical leadership roles in one of the industries. You will also need to be predominantly experienced in one of the following verticals: Healthcare, Financial Services, Distribution Industry, Communications, Industrial, Public Sector,. Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work to sell IIG software across North America

  • Sell value propositions including Business Value Assessments to differentiate IBM products and services across IIG

  • Sell to and develop C Level relationships at Fortune 100 corporations

  • Design and sell industry defining solutions coupled with implementation services if necessary

  • Operate as part of a broader sales and technical sales team

  • Take a key role in the identification, development and go-to-market of new industry solutions, working within the successful IBM sales processes and tools

  • Support sales team in full sales cycles including prospecting, identifying and qualifying opportunities, RFP/RFI responses, pricing and competitive strategy and negotiations. Education:

  • B.S. in a computer science, data science, business discipline required, M.B.A. preferred.


  • 7-10+ years experience with at least 3-5 years in senior leadership position either in software/consulting or in one of the Industry verticals

  • Strong customer presence and ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations/workshops

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, plus the drive and initiative to overcome obstacles in a new and rapidly changing space

  • Fluency in data integration, MDM, data governance and familiarity with cloud, social, mobile,open source technologies

  • Must be able to travel anywhere in North America

  • Highly motivated and self-directed with a strong business work ethic, positive attitude and professional demeanor

  • Comfortable with constant and rapid change while also comfortable working autonomously.

7-10+ years experience with at least 3-5 years in senior leadership position either in software/consulting or in one of the Industry verticals
