IBM Content Strategist in NEW YORK, New York

We're looking for an eager, smart, and passionate professional to be part of an exciting transformation of IBM’s Digital Experience. Total Customer Experience (TCX) is a new discipline within IBM Digital Business Group designed to close the gap between customers’ expectations and the experiences IBM now delivers to them. Our mission is to nurture and activate a customer-centric culture, with common methods and practices, across IBM offering and digital teams worldwide. We are a key part of IBM’s company-wide transformation and are driving a customer-centric culture that is agile, data-driven and holistic. As a Content Strategist, you will play a critical role in the next phase of IBM’s digital evolution and growth strategy by joining a cross-functional team of diverse and highly skilled professionals which will include developers, designers, data analysts, strategists, UX architects and agile coaches. You will have a deep understanding of the way content lives in digital media and will drive strategy that helps accelerate the digital journey of our customer. The team will be co-located in the IBM Studio at Astor Place – in the heart of New York’s Silicon Alley. We value creativity, collaboration, good fun, and a passion for digital experiences. Job Duties:

  • Develop and drive content strategies and plans that are aligned to client journeys with assets that bring key value propositions and messages to life.

  • Build and write compelling story lines that can be easily turned into content assets and delivered throughout social and digital media channels.

  • Bring innovative thinking to develop digital and content that is relevant and engaging to its target audience

  • Collaborate across multiple teams.

  • Partner with the entire team to develop and guide idea generation for content.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience leading content strategy development, preferably in a marketing, branding, consulting or digital media environment.

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience writing for both consumer and corporate / institutional clients.

  • Demonstrated experience in messaging and storytelling.

  • Experience advocating for content strategy best practices, principles, and methodology.

  • Some familiarity with media analytics and planning

  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills.

  • Resourceful self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment who is well organized and able to manage multiple projects

  • A commitment to high quality work and to positive and productive relationships with all - clients, team members, peers, managers, etc.

  • Ability to maintain self-motivation and to work independently in team environments.

  • Deep knowledge of agile principles and practices.
