IBM Client Technical Leader - Platform in New York, New York

The Weather Company, an IBM Business is seeking to hire a Client Technical Leader to join our Cloud Platform Sales team. Put your enterprise architecture, industry, and information technology expertise to work helping one of the world’s largest enterprises solve their most complex business and technical challenges. As the Client Technical Leader, you will be responsible for helping customers design and deploy TWC/IBM solutions to drive additional business value for them while expanding IBM’s business. CTLs develop and maintain proven, trusted client relationships at all levels within the client's organization and act as IBM's enterprise architects. As a strategic thinker and business influencer, you will create roadmaps and technical plans to contribute to the strategic goals of your clients while collaborating with client leadership, IBM sales leadership and IBM ecosystem partners. You will lead the technical sales effort in pursuit of innovative solution designs, addressing customer requirements, creating business solutions, and recommending implementation techniques to customers.

  • Advance strategic TWC/IBM architectures and technologies, and grow revenue with the client

  • Act as a technology partner to the IBM account team and sector/industry executive management and the customer

  • Assume the role of technical consultant to the TWC/IBM and customer team

  • Support the extended technical team in establishing and maintaining relationships with key technical customer personnel

  • Ensure appropriate application of technical resources

  • Evaluate and support IBM solutions, offerings, and technologies that assist the customer in achieving their objectives

  • Support the maintenance of customer satisfaction ensuring the integrity of the IBM / client relationship

  • Evaluate and integrate non-IBM offerings and technologies into IBM solutions, where no appropriate IBM offering exists


  • Proven ability to articulate and deliver compelling, industry focused, technical solutions and value propositions

  • Clear understanding of business trends, issues and new technologies in a variety of enterprise customers across a variety of industries

  • Successful track record and experience leading technical projects from design through implementation

  • In-depth, technical business development, sales and/or consulting experience

  • Competitive knowledge of and/or experience with AWS, Azure, Google or Pivotal cloud solutions
