In this role you will work alongside our experienced team to develop and/or manage proposals, contracts and/or programs involving services procured to our client base.Your duties will include but not be limited to;
Supporting procurement activities including moderate value/risk commodities, critical technology and moderately complex parts
Interface with suppliers on issues that affect supplier operations and IBM strategic supply issues
Follow supply chain initiatives, providing end-to-end integrated opportunities for efficiency
Communicate and negotiate with supplier and customer counterparts
Maintain awareness of current industry practices and future trends.
Manage IBM suppliers, business partners and customer relationships.
Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate a minimum of 2 years experience working in Procurement and possess strong business acumen. Clear communication skills and an affinity for attention to detail will be the keys to your success in this busy role. Knowledge of business principles such as purchasing, supply chain, e-commerce (or e-procurement) materials logistics management, business and contract law, finance and accounting will be highly regarded.Contact us today to find out more about this immediate opportunity.
