The Marketing Specialist for the Commercial Sales Team will develop the Commercial marketing plan that will support IBM to achieve faster than market revenue growth in IBM's key strategic solution areas (Cloud, Analytics, Security, Storage). This marketing specialist team member will provide insights on local market dynamics, key competitive models and client buying behaviour and leverage these insights to provide recommendations on sales plays and marketing programs. We are looking for a candidate that can be a master of the playbook for all potential commercial business customers.Key Requirements for success in this role:
Must have marketing experience, strong communication skills and a proven track record of breaking down barriers.
Must understand local market dynamics, ie what competitors are doing, client buyer behavouir
Looking for a candidate with innovative ideas and who will leverage best practices from the marketplace.
Must be a trusted advisor and provide cross team leadership as well as integrating sales with marketing. Collaborate with brand marketing teams to validate and test offerings for the Commercial marketplace with simplified value propositions using cases and references.
Manage and update a simplified Commercial Playbook that will enable reps to leverage plays and programs
Leverage press releases, meet ups, industry groups and external speaking engagements to develop awareness of IBM's solution capabilities in the marketplace.
Work with the sales team on a Social Media model that will drive demand back into IBM
