IBM Fixed Asset Coordinator in MARKHAM, Ontario

Reporting to the Fixed Assets Manager, the incumbent will play a key role in the end to end Fixed Asset process. The process addresses the fixed asset tracking, asset record management and data integrity for the IBM Canada Lab locations. This role will also be responsible for asset loaned agreements with external suppliers. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Track all primary assets deployed to employees at all Canada Lab locations.

  • Update and maintain asset records.

  • Resolution of issues raised as a result of tracking assets.

  • Complete and report results of quarterly Business Controls compliance testing.

  • Communicate with all levels of management.

  • Complete data integrity of all primary assets.

  • Ensure asset ownership and location data is accurate in local & external databases.

  • Scan assets in local inventory room on monthly basis.

  • Update and maintain process and procedural documentation for primary assets.

  • Track machines loaned to IBM by external suppliers.

  • Update and maintain Loaned Agreement records.

  • Respond to auditors regarding proof of execution of the above services.

Teams are based at strategic IBM Lab locations and presence on site is required 100% of the time.

  • At least 1 year working in an IT environment.

  • Fluent in English (verbal and written).

  • At least 1 year experience in having excellent analytical and organization skills, effective time management, attention to detail skills, ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment, ability to interpret and follow defined guidelines, policies and procedures.
