This role is responsible for creating opportunities for IBM Infrastructure Services offerings by developing and maintaining a consultative sales relationship with executive IT leaders within multiple clients.The role :a) Requires knowledge across multiple services areas, platforms, processes and architectures, for example, Security, Resiliency, Mobility, Cloud, Networking, Data Centre and Managed Servicesb) Has responsibility for establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with IT and business executives from the client's multiple business units and or divisions, andc) Serves as the Infrastructure Services leader for their assigned industry.Working collaboratively with the client team and other brands during the opportunity identification and validation sales stages, this role ensures not only the maximum inclusion of Infrastructure Services content, but also ensures that a full IBM value proposition is proposed. After validation of an opportunity, responsibility is normally transitioned to an appropriate Solution Specialist for opportunity ownership, though the SCR will continue to keep in touch with the opportunity throughout all sales stages. The successful candidate will demonstrate exemplary core sales and relationship management skills and will also have knowledge of IT infrastructure and related services.Additional Skills: Good Negotiating and Customer relationship skills combined with a disciplined approach to IBM's sales methodology and to territory planning. Knowledge of IBM Infrastructure Services portfolio and processes are a distinct advantage.This role is available for a territory covering several clients in the Retail Sector.
