How do I apply?PLEASE FOLLOW CAREFULLY1. Please complete the IBM Application Template as the first action.2. The IBM Application Template MUST be completed before you continue with your application.3. Copy and paste the link into a new web browser for the application form: http://www-05.ibm.com/employment/uk-en/graduate/applicationform/4. Once on the website click on Technology this will take you to the next page click on Software Developer. You will then be diverted to the Application form page.5. Click on Graduates – Application form under Technology roles you will find Software Developer How to Upload your Application form.

  • Log into the Candidate Portal.

  • You will be greeted with the below screen. Select the Candidate Zone Drop Down and click Profile

  • Now click the My Files Tab

  • Under Other Documents choose Letter of Recommendation

  • A popup box will appear and now click the browse button.

  • Select the file and click the open button

What does the role involve?Our software engineers/developers are responsible for the complete life cycle of a software product – from research and design, to implementation and testing, through training and support. As a software engineer/developer you will work at the heart of IBM's software innovation and you could play a key role in many world-shaping, cutting-edge technologies. Initially you’d be allocated to one particular product development team but during your first two years with IBM you’ll have the opportunity to work on a range of products and, consequently there will be opportunities to travel and work with other IBM Research and Development Labs around the globe. You’ll be encouraged to have contact with IBM sales teams and customers, both in the Lab as well as on customer sites, to understand the needs of our clients as well as assisting IBM’s post sales teams – all of which will contribute to your own development as an engineer.What we look for:You'll have either obtained or be predicted a 2:1 or above in your degree and be authorised to work in the UK

  • Be looking to achieve (or already have) a 2:1 honours – in any degree
