The Service Provider Technical Sales Specialist will also focus on increasing the visibility across the IT industry of the proven history of innovation that Cleversafe has brought to the Object Storage Market to date and into the leadership role that Cleversafe will play in Object Storage Solutions of the future. In addition, the Service Provider Technical Sales Specialist will serve as a business-focused sales professional who provides strategic technical business direction and technical vision within the territory and driving Cleversafe revenue through expert technical solutioning guidance, account planning, resource planning and allocation. The Service Provider Technical Sales Specialist will provide mentorship within his/her span of control by acting as a technical sales leader and business partner to the Sales leadership team. Responsibilities:
Lead a team of sales engineers to deliver pre-sales technical support, solutioning, sales presentations, solution development, and product demonstrations of Cleversafe capabilities
Expertly maintain an active program for building capacity and achieving high team performance based on customer, partner and internal Cleversafe requirements
Consistent focus on building and maintaining sales engineering team excellence with ongoing attention to talent acquisition and development
Ensure the system engineers are proficient in communicating a clear and consistent value proposition of the Cleversafe solution and products
Drive team development and training including detailed knowledge of industry trends, business acumen, communication skills, etc enabling them to be extremely effective in their role
Able to effectively collaborate with a wide range of technical staff and managers at Cleversafe and in customer environments.
Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
Deep understanding of customer management practices, solutions and all aspect of sales support processes.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, negotiation skills, and presentation skills, and the ability to influence and communicate professionally across all functional lines.
Solution design and implementation experience in data center infrastructures, data storage, backup and recovery technologies and cloud object storage.
Broad exposure to a variety of cloud and data center technologies and concepts, and comfortable with complex heterogeneous system implementations.
Clear understanding of, and a confidence in speaking about, industry trends including software defined applications and infrastructures, Cloud Computing and OpenStack.
Proven ability to add positive value to consultative multi-skilled teams consisting of customers and third parties
Ability to formulate strategies involving multiple people and organizations, and then follow through with those initiatives.
Must have a strong customer service orientation, a strong sense of initiative, a positive attitude, and a collaborative working style
Able to handle a fast paced environment and continuously re-prioritize while maintaining a constant focus on driving Cleversafe success
Education and Experience
Solid experience in a combination of cloud infrastructure, pre sales engineering for large enterprise storage manufacturers and/or enterprise solution development, process implementation, and data center operations.
Leadership experience, with a proven ability to motivate and drive a high performance team : applied
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
