Join us and be part of a diverse and global team of thinkers and doers, and make an impact.The HR Business Development (HRBD) Consultant position provides end-to-end HR leadership for Strategic Outsourcing and Repatriations transactions as well as engagement support for IBM Acquisitions, Divestitures and IPP Deals. The role will support Middle East and Africa region. Involvement starts at the early business development phases of a potential outsourcing agreement and continues though the integration of the business entity and the affected employees into IBM and/or a partner vendor.Employees in this role are responsible for establishing and directing the entire HR work team including the change management and transition team supporting the deal in-country and globally. Many engagements involve global entities and therefore require sensitivity to unique business, legal and HR issues in multiple geographies. This role leads all of the early client discussions on HR issues and provides input and advice as counsel for the overall proposal. The person in this role actively participates in client negotiations for all of the HR terms and conditions and is responsible for developing creative solutions that result in a positive outcome for the client and IBM as well as the overall welfare of the affected employees. A key responsibility of this role is ensuring that the overall business transformation is managed with sensitivity and that IBM treats all employees as individuals and with the understanding needed to attract and retain the key business knowledge and skills required by IBM to support the outsourced business entity.The individual in this role will establish the HR transition plan and identify an HR lead to execute a smooth transition. This role is also responsible for jointly developing with the client a clear and well-crafted communications plan that when executed, ensures a smooth and effective announcement to all entities and the successful transition of the contract including Cultural Change management.
