Who you are: The Senior Manager, Product Development will report to the Director – Product Development and will be part of the technology team that will define, design and develop exciting new products.What you’ll do: The individual will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team and drive the technical direction and execution of various software products. Agile methodologies and continuous delivery techniques are used throughout. The individual should be comfortable diving deep into the technical architectures, development and functional requirements.- End to end responsibilities for delivery of software products- Contributes to development and implementation of product, platform and technology strategies.- Maintain accountability/sign-off for various technical deliverables and technical decisions.- Develop and maintain project plan throughout the development cycle and ensure that the product is delivered on time/budget/scope.- Oversees and drives the creation of feature and project estimates and timelines in accordance with established agile practice.- Be a champion of engineering and operational excellence and establish team metrics for that excellence; including a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvement- Represent the technical organization and evangelize the work to senior leadership.- Foster culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring/feedback/metrics- Communicate clearly up and down the management chain. • Should have minimum 14+ year’s prior development experience.• Should have experience in managing a technical team of 15+• Should have experience in building, implementing, and refining a software development lifecycle.• Should have experience working in a matrixed organization.• Should have proficient knowledge of development tools used in projects and in the industry.• Should be capable of taking on and delivering project deliverables with limited guidance from senior management.• Should be able to anticipate problems and issues, and effectively resolve them.• Should be able to understand the impact of new projects on other areas and should have the ability to evaluative availability of resources.• Should be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and resources effectively.• Should possess excellent mentoring, leadership, time management and project management skills.
