IBM System Administrator Cloud Linux in HEREDIA, Costa Rica

This role is performed by technical professionals who specialize in providing perform services to clients on hardware and software components. Activities include operation and maintenance of operating systems across multiple platforms, middleware applications, various database technologies, high availability solutions and load balancing. Job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following: operation and maintenance of operating systems and platform support, database administration, capacity planning, performance management, security compliance. Support is also provided for systems management tools which monitor the operational status of the environment.   • SUSE Linux administration with excellent communication and troubleshooting skills- SUSE Certification is a plus- Redhat linux experience with at least 6-7 years of hands on experience - working with multiple vendors to find root cause of the infrastructure and OS issues - working with global teams across the platform - GPFS experience in SUSE environment or Linux environment - Other OS skills are added value like AIX , HACMP, Clustering experience etc. - SUSE with HANA environment is huge plus - Clustering experience with VCS or Red hat cluster is a requirement- Strong knowledge in ITIL- Able to multi tasks and communicate well with other teams and manage multiple projects at the same time
