IBM Advisory Technical Sales Specialist in HANOI, Vietnam

Position Summary and Responsibilities:Responsible for providing IT services in a billable project/engagement or providing technical support in a sales-oriented organization. As an individual contributor or member of a team, performs a technical role in support of the solution construction, implementation, and system integration in an IBM and Multi-vendor maintenance services and product infrastructure services sales. The IT Specialist has variety of responsibilities including delivery of high quality end-to-end solutions, implementation and system integration to clients in response to specific business requirements in multi-vendor technology support and maintenance services. Develops technical skills and absorbs professional knowledge quickly. The IT Specialist has some specific product, technology, or industry-related specialized skills and works with proposals, requirements, designs, implementations and production projects/engagements. May use tools to analyze and implement portions of a customer solution. This can involve participating in the development, packaging and distribution of a solution, or the justification, requirements or proof-of-concept in a proposal project. On occasion, provides technical advice to project managers/ leaders and gives some technical direction to team members such as subcontractors or client personnel. Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned. Skills:Environment:Displays solution design and consultancy technical skills related to the position, team, and department. Demonstrates required proficiencies and knowledge of information technology and their technical specialty to support attainment of team and department objectives. Position may require coordination of activities of peers and more experienced team members to implement technical solutions. Candidate will be required a comprehensive understanding of industry (Banking & Finance, Insurance, Retail), client infrastructure investment and maintenance strategies, technical influencing stake holders, solutions and proposal writing; and various range of the industries IT products including but not limited to server and storage, unix and wintel, network and security, ATM, etc. Communication/Negotiation:Engaged as independent information technology professional who advises others on tools, technology, and methodology related to implementing IT solutions in their area of technical specialty. Requires fluent command of oral and written communication skills, in English, to work internally with client team, managers and peers. Develops and provides specialized written and verbal communications to customers, peers, and support personnel. Effectively negotiates with peers, and with customers, to implement technical solutions. Exchanges information and ideas pertinent to project. Provides input to the design and implementation of technical solutions that meet our client's needs. Problem Solving:Exhibits analytical ability and creativity in developing and integrating solution deliverables for medium size projects. Recognizes job-related problems, uses judgment to resolve problems related to the technical solution being implemented, and completes technical tasks for the project / engagement / proposal within specialty. Independently generates technical solutions, based on analytical skills involving technology, methodology, processes, tools and solution components. Contribution/Leadership:Uses discretion to provide advice in technical / operational domain of specialization while working with customers, vendors and subcontractors to implement IT solutions. Understands the departmental mission of the IT Specialist and applies this knowledge in performing broader project related objectives. Works to cultivate and maintain a very positive relationship among team members. May lead small teams in the development and implementation of customer solutions in area of technical specialty. Impact on Business/Scope:Accountable for individual, team or department work products, and for the impact of the results on functional activities. Supports IT activities that contribute to business results including participating in development of proposals. Participates in overall departmental program planning in the areas of cost, schedule and technical risk. Quality of deliverables and verbal communications impacts customer satisfaction. Provides recommendations to improve team/department operational, technical, and customer satisfaction results. Assists and, on occasion, is responsible for identifying new billable IT services opportunities.

Have at least 5 years in IT industry with strong technical background, good at communication and negotiation skills
