IBM Software Developer in FREDERICTON, New Brunswick

The Security Intelligence Development team is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a role as a core Software Developer. This agile team is responsible for base product development including installation, platform services, feature development, and defect resolution. Team is composed of highly experienced professionals developing innovative software solutions to support industry leading security product. We require an experienced, team orientated software developer with a commitment to quality coding and knowledge of secure computing best practices. Experience with Java, Python, and Linux operating systems is a must. Must be willing to create and implement test automation and be familiar with debugging highly complex Java applications.Key Responsibilities:

  • Feature development

  • Defect resolution

  • Design and implement automation

  • Plan product deliverables

  • Integrate and update 3rd party packages

  • Work with various agile teams to enable feature development

  • Consult on build and packaging process refinements.

This position will work closely with Development, Architecture, Offering Management, Quality Assurance and L3 Support

  • English (Fluent in verbal and written)

  • 3-5 years of Software development.

  • Experience developing in Java, PostgreSQL, Python

  • Understanding and working with Linux OS

  • Experience coding, debugging highly concurrent, distributed multi threaded JAVA applications

  • Troubleshooting / resolving memory leaks, performance issues in software and Linux OS

  • Multitasking and juggling many tasks and responsibilities at the same time
