IBM Risk & Compliance Consultant in DUBLIN, Ireland

IBM has established several retirement funds in Europe to meet its obligations with regard to post retirement pension benefits.The Compliance Consultant will provide support to these retirement funds and their Investment Committees/ Boards. This support consists mainly of compliance and conformance with applicable regulation (such as EMIR) and practices. In addition, the Compliance Consultant will support the contractual aspects (Investment management agreements, custody agreements, ISDA/CSA, agreements with other service providers), custody activities and risk management. Responsibilities

  • Understanding of country retirement funds (structure, environment)

  • Keep abreast with financial markets in general and specifically regulatory developments

  • Lead the contractual process (interact with outside legal support)

  • Ensure template agreements are kept up to date with evolving regulation

  • Enhance the risk management processes

  • Present projects/recommendations to the different stakeholders/committees

  • Share knowledge and expertise

  • At least 5 years of experience.

    • Relevant professional degree (law, finance, economics, actuary, etc);
  • Relevant experience in a financial or similar institution;

  • Ability to work under pressure and with outside organizations;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills

  • Other languages are an advantage

  • Pro-active, well organized and independent;

  • Available and willing to travel abroad as needed;

  • Eager to learn/develop;

  • Excellent email and Microsoft Office skills (mainly Excel, Word and Powerpoint);
