IBM Investment Consultant in DUBLIN, Ireland

IBM has established several retirement funds in Europe to meet its obligations with regard to post retirement pension benefits.The Investment Consultant will provide support to these retirement funds and their Investment Committees/ Boards. This support consists of strategic investment advice as well as specific advice on asset allocation; asset classes; investment manager research, selection and monitoring; liability management; investment guidelines and compliance; performance. Responsibilities

  • Understanding of country retirement fund (structure, environment, liability profile)

  • Keep abreast with financial markets, instruments and regulatory developments

  • Help determining the appropriate asset allocation and manage any changes

  • Make recommendations to manage exposures (liability, currency, etc.)

  • Research Investment managers

  • Draft and negotiate investment guidelines

  • Ensure compliance process is appropriate and resolve compliance issues

  • Monitor investment managers and make appropriate recommendations

  • Present projects/recommendations to the different stakeholders/committees

  • Share knowledge and expertise

  • At least 5 years of experience.

    • Relevant professional degree (finance, economics, actuary, etc). CFA qualification is highly beneficial;
  • Relevant experience in the financial markets;

  • Ability to work under pressure and with outside organizations;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills;

  • Other languages are an advantage;

  • Pro-active, well organized and independent;

  • Available and willing to travel abroad as needed;

  • Eager to learn/develop;

  • Excellent email and Microsoft Office skills (mainly Excel, Word and Powerpoint);
