IBM iX - Copywriter - Resource/Ammirati in COLUMBUS, Ohio

IBM is seeking a COPYWRITER to join Resource/Ammirati, an IBM Company. The Copywriter’s job is to generate big ideas, based on insights, that achieve a strategic goal, and write and edit copy. The Writer will be responsible for translating a single big idea across multiple brand-owned touchpoints for a cohesive, integrated campaign. This requires collaboration with strategists to translate branding through voice and tone, and with information architects, designers and developers to map content into an experience. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, collect, organize and track all content throughout entire project, including inception, creation, editing, proofing and launch

  • Own idea write-ups and translate them from internal to client-presentation-ready

  • Work with art directors and designers to concept and execute integrated campaigns, including websites, banner ads, mobile experiences, print, in-store, video, radio and prototypes

  • Collaborate with all disciplines while overseeing copy throughout an entire campaign-creation timeline

  • Provide documentation during all phases of development, including current content documents, content plans and voice and tone guides

  • Collaborate specifically with proofreaders, editors and other team writers to make sure copy is clean and consistent

  • Understand the client’s business and project objectives, and acquire category, audience and competitive knowledge to formulate tactics accordingly

  • Deliver content on deadline


  • Ability to work closely with the client, strategists, creatives and developers to translate strategic insights into actionable content plans

  • Knowledge of best practices in each marketing channel, as they relate to content issues

  • Advanced understanding of appropriate software, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and relationship-building experience

  • Comfortable presenting copy to the client in tandem with art director
