IBM Resource Manager in COLUMBIA, Missouri

This position is very dynamic and you will be expected to have demonstrable knowledge in analytics, metrics, business processes, and continual improvement. You should have experience translating information into technical documents and be comfortable communicating with a diverse group of technical managers. You will also use your leadership skills to drive the tactical and strategic resource plan for the center.An ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a big-picture mindset and thrive in a challenging, but exciting environment where no two days are alike.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate, forecast and be accountable for the center's productivity target

  • Coordinate cross-center tracking files to assist center management with resource planning

  • Providing management reports to stakeholder to inform decision making

  • Proactively seek projects and engagements where available resources can be deployed and shared

  • Coordinate deployment of resources across different service line pools

  • Develop and manage the plan to acquire skills

  • Monitor skill gaps and excesses to provide input to the area for acquiring and/or building needed skills

  • Viewed as focal point for all internal and external recruiting and hiring activities for college and professional hires as well as co-op and contractor positions

  • Interface with all delivery center teams to track resources and staffing

  • Develop a portfolio of subcontractor partners and manages the overall relationship

  • Project short and long term staffing needs, including requirements for professional hires, internal hires, and subcontractors

  • Coordinate with center management and subcontracting firms as required


  • At least 6 months experience in Adaptability; ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment

  • At least 6 months experience in Communication; able to demonstrate advanced communication and negotiation skills

  • At least 6 months experience in Analysis; strong analytic, problem solving and reasoning skills

  • At least 6 months experience in Interpersonal Communications; proven experience in networking and building relationships

  • At least 6 months experience in MS Office; advanced working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel - including formulas, functions and pivot tables
