The candidate would be responsible for selling managed hosted Enterprise applications in that geography to enterprise clients. The application sales executive will be responsible for application and professional services sales. The ASE candidate should reside in the territory which will cover Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee. The ASE candidate should have a successful record of selling large complex hosting and software deals which include one or more of the following ERP, eCommerce, or Custom Applications Vendors : Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, or IBM. A leading candidate will also have a track record of selling professional services supporting the applications mentioned above. The overlay/sales specialist position is responsible for selling extremely complex technical products and new and emerging application services, generates sales and supports the sales efforts of others leveraging product, industry, and/or technological expertise. These applications, products, services and solutions are an extremely high priority for the company and requires extensive technical knowledge and specific product expertise. Typically not account assigned and called into accounts as opportunities are identified. Manages and coordinates the sales and technical team in support of the sale of the company’s highly complex product line. Typically works independently without supervision and is viewed as an expert in the field by both the company and the customer. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate value to senior executives and have a proven ability to lead large sales pursuit teams to win complex IT opportunities. Successful Application Sales Executives are able to be self-motivated and develop sales pipeline, manage long sales cycles and drive deals to closure while working in a hierarchical business environment. This job key applies to employees who spend more than 50% of their time in duties directly related to making sales away from the employees office at a customer’s place of business or home. Duties directly related to making sales includes: Meeting with customers engaged in sales activities at the customers site, communicating with customers via phone, teleconference, e-mail, etc., related to proposed solution/sale etc., traveling to and from the customers premise, providing subject matter expertise regarding technical issues relating to sale; advising customers on suitability of products based on technical needs, preparing proposals, presentations, or bids, including developing pricing, developing strategic plans related to the customer and the proposed solution/sale, researching and developing customer solutions with IBM external partners, including design and engineering, and researching customer business and industry to identify new sales opportunities. Candidate must have minimum of 5 years experience in successfully selling complex solutions and experience with enterprise software like SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, eCommerce applications and middleware.
They should have at least 8 years of sales experience including 5 years of selling applications or professional services.
