Responsibilities:The Hybrid Cloud Seller is responsible for the coordination and successful execution of all required sales related activities within an assigned territory or set of accounts to achieve assigned financial sales objectives. This role is focused on expanding IBM's cloud software & services into associated industries within the Communications market which includes Media & Entertainment, Energy & Utilities, Telecom and Computer Services. Activities include working with and leveraging other IBM client facing teams to create demand, identify opportunities, qualify opportunities, and then directly executing high quality professional engagements that result in winning opportunities that achieve assigned targets while providing high value customer solutions. Seller will represent all entire IBM Cloud software portfolio.Communications Sector Hybrid Cloud Sales Representatives in this Go-to-Market role are responsible for the identification, development, and assessment of Communications Sector opportunities for potential engagement. They have a thorough understanding of the nature of business problems in the Communications Sector, and the products and solutions that provide value in solving those problems. They are knowledgeable in the trends and direction of the Communications Sector, the marketplace, and the players. They develop executive and senior management relationships in the Communications Sector. They work collaboratively with other teams across IBM and with other partners and outside consultants as appropriate. They are responsible for the ongoing qualification of these opportunities and recommend whether to engage, disqualify, or refer opportunities to other IBM groups.Key Attributes:Strong leadership skills.Ability to collaborate with teams within IBM and partners externally.Creative problem solver and open to change. 2 years minimum experience direct, face to face software selling experience.
Knowledge of Hybrid (combination of public and private based) cloud solutions.
