Business background:IBM’s Service Parts Operations (SPO) is part of the MTS (Maintenance and Technology Services) organization. SPO’s primary business role is to support IBM's Service Delivery organization for maintenance parts requirements for IBM Customers. This support includes spare parts processes for hardware, software, and technical services worldwide. Organizationally SPO is comprised of operating units in Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.SAP - Order Management and WW accounts payable - the area where you'll work:This project, part of the overall project called GPS (Global Parts System) is being utilized to improve business efficiency and global visibility to all FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) purchases and is located on the SAP (IP0 instance). Operations include Order Fulfillment (Operated via Technical Support Services – ISC - SPPW (SERVICE PARTS PROCUREMENT AND WARRANTY)) and WWAP (World Wide Accounts Payable) within 3 geographic consolidated areas.Within the GPS SAP environment, the Order Management and Accounts Payable business processing is segregated and differentiated among an estimated 600 worldwide end-users. This allows the two Business Process Owners to promote functional changes and enhancements to their respective processes through the SAP landscape independent of each other while maintaining the overall application integrity.In order to fulfill its core mission, the GPS application requires interfaces to many external IBM applications to support its end-to-end business process. In addition, the GPS business model has been expanded to accommodate Business Process Outsourcing opportunities with external customers.Size of the team:Within the team we have 1 test manager/Project manager, 1 business architect/functional consultant, 2 ABAP programmers, 1 senior Business consultant and 2 medior consultants/testers Development takes place mainly in the SAP MM area , with a bit of SAP FI. Lot's of custom development. We work in an agile approach , life cycle releases planned planned for 1 year .
The IT Specialist - SAP Business Information Analyst is a critical function within the SAP application development process.
In this role the person translates business requirements into SAP solution designs (both standard and custom made solutions). Test scripts creation, test execution and documenting test results are also part of the activities.
Next to that this role is also responsible for providing application support and execution of regression testing.
This role has good SAP MM skills ( mandatory) combined with good analytical skills and good understanding of the business processes and integrated IT systems.
Depending on the level of these skills the activities of this role will extend to the full scope as described above or just a subset of these activities.
