IBM Watson Health_Communications Specialist in BETHESDA, Maryland

The Communications Specialist will provide leading-edge healthcare communications support, both orally and in writing, to advance the goals of our clients’ organizations. In this role, the Communications Specialist will develop creative written products, especially in Social Media area, to enhance Truven's partnership with and value to each client. Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and support of marketing, communications and promotions campaigns

  • Collaborate on long and short term goals for the Communications team to support project, department and market vision

  • Actively seeks out and maintains team research for innovative ideas in marketing activities, social media venues and branding items

  • Support social media strategy and creating content to engage customers and acquire new ones for the project Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and Blog sites

  • Manage corporate industry association memberships and programs

  • Participate in consulting engagements and engage in billable consulting activity, as appropriate and/or required, in partnership with client team members.

  • Communicate conference goals (as required), key messages and relevant logistical information to attending staff and client

  • Manage evolving client expectations, needs and priorities, and collaborate with client team members to ensure effective integration with consulting and service delivery capabilities and priorities

  • Manage and monitor client satisfaction, and recommend appropriate strategies, tactics and operational initiatives to continuously enhance client satisfaction.

  • Meet regularly in face-to-face meetings with clients.

    Examples of responsibilities:

  • Develop written products for Social Media, blog posts, newsletters

  • Present ideas to team members and clients

  • Identify opportunities for, propose, and sell value-add projects

  • Edit documents so that they are “client ready”

  • 2-3 years’ marketing/communications experience required

  • Excellent planning, organization and multi-tasking skills, a strong attention to detail required

  • Excellent writing skills a must

  • Excellent oral communication skills a must

  • Excellent desktop publishing skills, using tools such as MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint a must
