IBM is searching for a Enterprise Software Sales Manager to lead a team of elite salespeople responsible for IBM's Enterprise Software Sales for our DoD (Dept of Defense) customers.The First Line Manager will manage a team of Enterprise Software Sellers who sell all of IBM's Software solutions.Key Responsibilities:• Lead team of our most qualified sellers responsible selling and maintaining our strategic software agreements.• Identify programs where IBM solutions would meet mission objectives• Work with FSI’s (Federal System Integrators) associated with key programs• Provide coaching on effective procurement and partner strategies• Guide team members to identify decision makers and targeted leads in order to initiate the sales process and deliver real business value• Manage opportunities within Sales Automation tool• Provide regular updates to management team regarding opportunities, trends and challenges• Lead sales team to meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly quota objectives;• Drive accountability for the sales organization's performance to meet revenue, growth and client commitments and promote long-term client satisfaction• Acts as escalation point; first line of contact for management involvement on high-profile issues• Develop and maintain effective relationships with all extended teams; ensures communication across key departments and leadership teams• Cultivate C-level client and supporting relationships to develop insights into market needs, client pain points and client buying behavior to create and deliver value propositions that respond to the client's value driversKey Attributes:• Demonstrated people management skills - effective listener and communicator; ability to train, mentor, and coach individuals at various stages of development• Ability to understand business problems and provide guidance to the sales team on strategies which will produce winning solutions• Ability to evaluate competitive situations and apply appropriate sales tactics• Ability to lead and communicate creative sales strategies which motivate employees to drive and close new business opportunities• Ability to build relationships with "C" level executives - Chief Information Officer (CIO), Vice President (VP) IT Infrastructure, as well as peers from finance, legal and customer fulfillment• Apply an understanding of the client's industry, including industry trends, industry financial measurements and key industry players and competitors to deliver solutions that address client needs

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • At least 5 years experience in Sales Execution

  • Readiness to travel 50%

  • English: Fluent

  • At least 2 years selling in the Federal space

  • Sys SW Sales
