Discover what you can do at IBM.The Senior BizTalk Developer will design, develop, program, and maintain mapping processes using BizTalk.The ideal candidate will also develop BizTalk maps, orchestrations, schemas, and .NET libraries for connecting internal and external systems. They will support and guide testing and deployments to different clustered BizTalk environments and will follow proper SDLC processes. As a lead developer, they will create documentation and communicate with other teams and management. The member must be able to lead a team of other BizTalk developers including training. Ideal Candidate Traits:

  • Experience in design and development using a formal SDLC methodology.

  • Experience with BizTalk Administration and BizTalk Orchestrations.

  • Design, customize, develop, and test BizTalk services in a multi-tier software systems environment.

  • Create/Maintain/Review of design and functional/technical specifications, code, documentation, reports, and other deliverables.

  • Demonstrates 100% ability to utilize Microsoft Platform, Standards and Best Practices while developing and offer guidance to team on best practices.

  • Function as a mentor for other BizTalk developers and excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

The IBM Client Innovation Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our Baton Rouge center. However, some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected to travel up to 50% of the time.   • A minimum of a BS or BA in Computer Science or an associated discipline, advanced degree preferable.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience installing and maintaining a BizTalk environment.

  • Minimum 5 years of related, hands-on IT experience with developing and delivering orchestrations in BizTalk.

  • A minimum of 3 years in C#, .NET, and in XML.

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience specifically designing and administrating BizTalk applications.

  • BizTalk Mapping, Orchestration, Pipelines, and Custom Components.

  • Develop, monitor, and upgrade BizTalk solutions and components.

  • Experience with SCOM & BizTalk management packs.

  • Experience with MSBuild & PowerShell scripting.

  • Experience with XML, web services, and direct database connections required.
