  • This specialty is responsible for leading a project team in delivering a Mobility Services solution to the client using the appropriate business measurements and terms and conditions for the project according to the project charter, project agreement or contract

  • You have overall performance responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables, which includes applying techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk management

  • You are responsible for managing all project resources, including subcontractors, and for establishing an effective communication plan with the project team and the client.

  • You provide day to day direction to the project team and regular project status to the client.

    What you’ll do:

  • Agile development method for service product builds. Experience with RAPID / IPD / Agile offering processes

  • Offering project manager with certification in project management

  • Experience with Collaboration, Virtualization, and Device management services

  • Experience managing offering development projects and taxonomy within IBM

  • Understanding of the cost case, pricing, delivery requirements needed to achieve targeted TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and SLAs (Services level Agreements)

  • Guide others and drives analysis and/or acceptance of changes within the project and decide when changes to the project are required. Work with team members to articulate, compare, and implement solutions and alternative approaches based upon project management principles.

  • Ability to direct cross functional team members which may include, client, supplier and IBM staff. Negotiates effectively with team members to define the project's goals, work content and schedules.

  • Clearly communicate team results to appropriate management / offering management. Establish and maintains clear mechanisms to communicate project status and change with the project team and management.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate resource needs and project issues with business unit management to negotiate appropriate project resources. Plans and conducts negotiations which result in significant agreements and commitments between IBM, client / supplier and other IBM organizations.

  • Anticipate potential project related problems. Utilize techniques for identifying, eliminating or mitigating solution, project, and business risk. Understand offering service product and business trends. Applies this understanding to meet project objectives.

  • As appropriate, challenge the validity of given procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement. Analyze information and situations and implements actions, independently and / or through the management team, to ensure project objectives are met. Analyze new and complex project related problems and create innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solution components.
