IBM Watson Platform Partnerships Executive in Austin, Texas

The Watson Platform Partnerships Executive role is a global business develop and transformation leadership role designed to work with key anchor Watson platform partners and drive strategy and adoption for Watson platform services. The role requires the candidate to work very closely client C Suite and mid level management, establish him/her as a trusted business advisor with clients, develop bold transformation or partnership strategies that leverage the IBM Cloud and Cognitive stack and measured business value in agile sprints and structure win win value propositions. The candidate is expected to possess prior business relationship management, strategy development, technology led transformation experience and a successful track record at negotiating complex contractual agreements. This is a leadership role and will require candidate to manage resources reporting to him/her but also collaborate with and manage resources across multiple geo’s and organizations not reporting to him/her. The candidate will be required to oversee an annualized revenue stream of $25M delivered via the portfolio of partnerships under his/her management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the client’s cognitive agenda

  • Lead the cross unit complex solution development and proposal

  • Drive the deal construct and manage the overall process of negotiating contracts

  • Provide guidance and coaching to direct and indirect teams supporting the proposal and negotiation

  • An in depth understanding of digital disruption and platform based revenue strategies

  • Able to perform in a fast paced startup work culture and deal with organizational change management

  • Demonstrated resiliency and maturity with difficult situations

  • 10+ years’ experience managing large programs in challenging, high-growth environments.

  • Prior strategy consulting and business development experience

  • Excellent executive communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
