IBM Product Analyst in AUSTIN, Texas

By being part of the Brokerage services under GTS, the Product analyst will be able work with key technologies, business solutions and customer use cases that shape this space.The Product Analyst (PA) works with stakeholders from all business units and related third parties to define and document business processes and software requirements for IBM Cloud Brokerage, including competitive analysis, creation and tracking of user stories, and prioritizing field requests. BAs work closely with Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales and Delivery teams to refine business requirements and perform user acceptance testing.Key Job Responsibilities

  • Create functional requirements in use cases. Coordinate requirements walk-through and signoffs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs.

  • Define the business problem and primary objectives of new projects. Identify and validate the key business requirements.

  • Analyze and model the business domain to create a complete picture of work-flows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed software.

  • Understand product requirements and end-user needs and drivers

  • Elicit and analyze all requirements, including business rules.

  • Identify and document all business, technical, product and process requirements.

  • Develop detailed requirements, features, user interface mock ups, storyboards, use cases, wireframes, or other artifacts required to ensure a successful and quality product

  • Work with product management, engineering, customer support, sales and marketing organizations to extend current product features, usability, documentation, etc.

  • Deliver PRDs (Product Requirements Documents) with prioritized features and corresponding justification

  • Understand and prioritize product requirements and end-user needs and drivers

What are the top responsibilities of this role?

  • The primary function of this role is to understand and communicate complex ideas and concepts in a form appropriate for a diverse audience. The audience can range from executives, engineers, sales, to end users.

  • Very knowledgeable in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio and other project planning systems.

  • Strong analytical skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity, and the ability to engage with other team members in addressing a variety of accounting, reporting and business issues.

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments to meet reporting deadlines. A highly motivated team player that contributes to an atmosphere in which people work together to produce outstanding results.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills. A good listener with outstanding interpersonal qualities and has the ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner and does not shy away from having sometimes difficult conversations regarding matter performance to reach firm goals of increasing profitability and efficiency.
