We are looking for a highly motivated Support Engineer who would like exposure to cutting edge technologies in a high uptime, agile environment. The candidate's duties will include administering a wide variety of the latest databases, caching, application, system configuration solutions as well as supporting our customers OpenStack environments.We are a small distributed team, so a cultural fit is very important. You will need to be an autodidact that is willing to commit your passion for learning to our goal of making our infrastructure best in class.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Answering customer support questions through a ticket system, telephone calls, and customer chat Work with our existing staff to continue the build-out of our knowledge base Take part in shaping support related company standards, policy and services Participate in an on-call rotation for after hours support Become knowledgeable in one or more specific skills often required by our customers needs The administration of CentOS, Ubuntu and other Linux servers Hardware support Intel and Asynchronous Module Definition (AMD) server hardware Shell scripting for various system administration tasks System performance optimization Independently handling minor customer emergencies The candidate should have knowledge of the following: Version Control (Git) OpenStack Network Troubleshooting Nginx Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificates HA Proxy Network File System (NFS) Scripting (BASH, Python, Perl) AnsibleCandidates must live within daily commuting distance of Seattle, WA or Austin, TX to be consideredrterbpna

  • At least 3 year experience in a support representative role

  • At least 3 year experience in CentOS / Red Hat / Scientific Linux or Debian / Ubuntu

  • At least 3 year experience in Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP (LAMP) stack

  • English: Fluent
