A combination of system administration and platform engineering with direct responsibility for the continuous builds and ongoing support of multiple clients’ environments.
Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, update, and core services.
Manage users and groups, including use of a centralized directory for authentication
Manage security, including basic firewall and Linux configuration.
Perform initial configuration of cloud services, deploy virtual machines, perform policy-based management,
Create a catalog, provision services, analyze timelines and events, run automations, etc.
You need to not only be a top systems engineer with a good track record of delivering, but also excel in communication, leadership and customer focus.

5-7 years Linux/unix system administration and engineering experience.
5-7 years scripting in bash and other languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.).
Experience with web and application servers (Apache, Tomcat, Jboss, WAS, etc.).
Familiarity with continuous deployment methodology and other common DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, and configuration tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, and Ansible.
Good understanding of firewalls, NAT and packet filtering.
Good understanding of application level security.
2-3 years experience with OOP / OOD is a plus.
3-5 years of Cloud Engineering/Administration experience, AWS, Azure, and/or Softlayer experience is preferred.
Must be adaptable to changing priorities and schedules.
